BREAKOUT ALERTS
Breakout alerts with a strict confirmation
Draw your breakout, target and stop levels on the chart and Nasdaq Life watches them for you. You hear when price is getting close, when it crosses, and whether the breakout passed a strict confirmation or failed.

Three stages
- Nearing breakout: price is rising and within about 1% of the level with buying flow, or within 0.5% with no selling pressure. It is an early warning, not a buy signal.
- Crossed: price traded through the level; confirmation is pending.
- Confirmed or failed: the strict check below decides.
What the strict confirmation requires
All of these within 30 minutes and before the first target is reached:
- a one-minute candle closing above the level
- about twice the normal volume
- holding above the level for 60 seconds
- at least 65% of the volume on the buy side
- a pullback to the level and a 0.5% bounce from it
If price falls 0.5% below the level the breakout is marked failed. Many fast spikes never confirm; that is intentional.
Sound and notifications
Separate sounds for "nearing" and "crossed / confirmed". If the browser blocks sound in a background tab, the alert plays on your next click or when you return to the tab.
Your levels, your watchlist
Levels come from your own watchlist entries or from published signals you follow. Missing levels are never generated automatically.
FAQ
Is a breakout alert a buy signal?
No. Alerts describe what price and volume did around your level. Every trading decision is yours.
Why did a breakout not confirm?
Because at least one strict condition was missing, for example the pullback retest or the buy-side volume share.
Do alerts work on stocks I add myself?
Yes, any NASDAQ stock in your watchlist with a breakout level.
